First, we started with a stack of pallets. I think we purchased 15 and they were $2 each (I ended up only needing about 6 of them). The initial plan was to make a back to the benches, but after looking at the patio, we didn’t think that was feasible. The back would have ended up leaning against the screen, maybe causing it to tear. Continue Reading
I found this awesome set of patio chairs at a yard sale for $16! Me, being the budget – fashionista that I am, thought $16 was a bit much. I was thinking more along the lines of $10. Believe it or not, I’m not much of a haggler. I have probably walked away from some pretty good finds because I didn’t want to offer the seller less money. I guess it has to do with the fact that I’ve had yard sales in the past, and when people try to low-ball me, I get really annoyed. FAST! After consulting with my better half about these chairs, I was assured that I was getting a great price. So I got them. They didn’t need much work at all. I wiped them down, gave them a few coats of black spray paint, and they were all done! I’m so happy I didn’t walk away this time. They are some of the most comfortable patio chairs I’ve ever sat in. I hope to have a patio reveal within a few weeks. It has truly come a long way!
So, I finally uploaded another YouTube video after 2 years! LOL! A lot of you ask me about thrifting, yard sales, and Craigslist so I thought I’d make a “follow me around” type of video. I’m not the best video editor in the world, but I gave it a shot. The more videos I make, the better they will start to become. Let me know if you like these types of videos, and I’ll make more in the future. Also, let me know what you’d like for me to do differently. I definitely want your feedback! Thank you all for watching and enjoy your day!
Today I have another thrift store makeover for you guys. Again, an easy one! I love knocking these “quickies” off my project list. Here are the $4 brass lamps I started with. Very old and dingy. I always start by using a damp rag, along with warm water and vinegar to clean each piece. If I wasn’t using spray paint, and I wanted to keep the lamps brass, I would have just shined them up with Barkeeper’s Friend. In this case, I definitely wanted to spray paint.Continue Reading
Hola! Hope everyone is doing well. I won’t make up any excuses this time, because I really don’t have any. I would like to say that I really appreciate all of you who have stuck by me through this unplanned blogging hiatus. I have been active on Instagram and Facebook, so be sure to follow me there. Let’s get to this DIY project!
If you don’t know by now, I’m giving my patio a much needed makeover. BUT, I refuse to spend a lot of money on furniture and decor that will be primarily in the sun all day. I live in Florida and it gets extremely hot here. No patio furniture is safe in Florida. I have a lot of projects and makeovers coming your way. Continue Reading
I have a really quick makeover for you guys. As you already know I love me some Craigslist, thrift stores, and yard sales. Let’s face it, I ain’t paying full price for nothing! Now the downside of me shopping at those places is that the pieces normally require some type of TLC. I have sooooo many projects that I need to get to. This one, however, was reallyContinue Reading

What’s your idea of having it all? Do you think “having it all” means you’re rich or wealthy? Does it make you think about material things? Having it all has many meanings for everyone. For me, it’s definitely not about material things. I look at my life, and I know that I have it all. I’m blessed to have a wonderful family, that has grown (I’ll tell you about that in another post), I’m healthy, and I’m thankful for life. I wake up every day appreciating life, and everything that matters to me. Growing up in a small town, we never had much. My Grandmother & Grandfather worked hard to provide for us. The main things they taught us was how to love, respect, and appreciate the people in our lives.

I’ve been asked so many times about my hair routine, and honestly, I really don’t have one. I try a lot of products and just stick to the ones that work best for me. When I was relaxed, I tried Head & Shoulders for my dandruff, and it worked wonders. Why did I stop using it? I thought my dandruff was completely gone, so I ventured out and started trying other products.Continue Reading
I asked you guys on Facebook if you wanted to see my perfume collection, and the response was YES! I took these pics about a week ago, and meant to edit and upload this post last week. I went out of town and forgot my laptop . As soon as I returned, I made sure to get this post up because I was very excited to show you the collection. I listed the names beside all of the bottles in case you wanted to pick up a few for yourself. As of late, my go-to scents have been Theirry Mugler Alien and Balenciaga Paris. Continue Reading
Bookshelves can be used for a plethora of things. They are so functional and purposeful. You can use them to display a collection of your favorite things. They can also be used to display family photos. I got these from Target that I use to display my heels in my closet room (tour coming soon).
