Recipe: Shrimp, Tomatoes, & Corn

When I was younger, my Grandmother always made sausage, tomatoes, and okra. It was certainly a staple in our home, and was always good AF! It made you wanna slap your Mama (not literally, cause I’d never slap my Mom, but you know what I mean…LOL.) However,  I never ate the okra. I’d either push it aside or

pick it out altogether. Me & okra just don’t get along. Kuddos to those who can eat it, cause I can’t get past the slimy texture.
shrimp For some reason, I had a craving for this meal. I haven’t eaten sausage in about 2 years, so I decided to add my own flare to this traditional dish. I hope you guys enjoy!

Shrimp, Tomatoes, & Corn


  • 1/2 Green Bellpepper
  • 1/2 Orange Bellpepper
  • 1/2 Yellow Bellpepper
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1/2 cup tomato paste
  • 8 roma tomatoes
  • 1 can fire roasted tomatoes
  • 1 cup corn
  • 1 1/2 lbs med shrimp
