I’m baaaack! Like, for real this time. I took a much-needed break from the blog, but I’ve missed it so much. I’ve missed you guys, too! I’ve still been on my other social media outlets, like, Instagram, Facebook, & SnapChat so be sure to follow me there.
Let’s get into this sweater. It’s not a tutorial; I just wanted to let you guys know how we got to this point.
See what had happened was…… I was in H&M, and ran across this sweater. It was very oversized, but I liked it! I mean, come on, isn’t EVERYTHING oversized on trend right now? So anyway, I picked up the sweater and it has this medium sized hole in the shoulder portion. So I put it back, and went on about my business. During my shopping trip, this little voice in my head kept saying, “Girl, go back and get that sweater. It’s only $7, you can do something with it”. So since “the voice” told me to get it, I just had to.
Fast forward to a week later. This shirt, along with all my other goodies, sat in my shopping bag in hopes to get out. That day, I decided to take the plunge and distress this baby! So glad I did because now I love it even more. I did a lot of cutting on this thing. I cut the neckline so that it could fall kinda off the shoulder. I also cut the front so that it looked more cropped than the back. I really just free styled the holes. I would distress, try it on, distress some more….until I came up with something that I really liked.
I can’t wait to DIY a few more pieces. I think I’ll distress a sweatshirt & t shirt next!
