Fall Soup: Shrimp & Crab Soup

Hi Guys! If you’re following me on IG, you may know that I stumbled upon an amazing looking recipe. It looked so good; I had to try and create my own version of it. This was my 1st time making this soup, and it turned out to be BOMB! Like seriously, my wife & I we ate this large pot of soup in just 2 days. I will more than likely be making it again this weekend. Fall Soup: Shrimp & Crab Soup

Ingredients

  • 3 tbps - olive oil
  • 1 - bellpepper (your choice of color)
  • 1 - medium onion
  • 1c - mushrooms
  • 3 cloves - garlic (I added 5, cause I love garlic...DUH)
  • 5 stalks - green onion
  • 1/2c - tomato paste
  • 1 tsp - black pepper
  • 2 tbsp. - garlic powder
  • 1tbsp - onion powder
  • 1 tbsp. - Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp. - Badia Complete Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp. - Knorr Chicken Bouillon (powder)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. - Himalayan pink salt
  • 2c - chicken broth (unsalted)
  • 8c - water
  • 2c - half & half (or heavy cream or milk)
  • 3c - kale
  • 1 1/2 lb - med shrimp
  • 3pcs - bacon (diced & cooked) OPTIONAL
  • 1/2c - crab meat
  • 6 - large russet potatoes (diced & slightly cooked)

Instructions

Add olive oil to the pot

Saute vegetables (bell pepper, onion, mushroom, garlic, green onion)

Next, add in tomato paste

Then add in all seasoning

Pour in the chicken broth, water, & half and half

Cover & bring to a slight boil

Add in shrimp, bacon, and crab meat

Cover & reduce heat to low

Simmer for 10 mins
