Don’t you hate it when you wear a new pair of shoes & by the end of the night they look like garbage under the bottom? The soles are all grimy & scratched up. I know I do! I never thought anything could really be done about it, so I figured…. it is what it is. When my buddy, Mr. Goodwill Hunting, told me about this cute & clever little shop called, Protect Your Pumps, I knew I had to give them a try.
They sent me 3 pair of the protective adhesives to try out. They came in a pretty little pouch with the instructions.
First, start with a pair of clean soled pumps. I used a pair by BCBGeneration that I got for my birthday.
Use the outline as a guide to measure where you would cut your adhesive backing (My soles were slightly larger than the outline)
While holding the template against your soles, start cutting out your desired size
Once you’re done cutting, separate the adhesive from the backing
Carefully stick the adhesive to the soles of your shoes
Trim off any excess & now you’re ready to wear! Easy, right?
After wearing my shoes, here’s what they looked like. I only applied the Pump Protectors to one shoe because I wanted to be able to compare the two. Clearly, there is a huge difference in the two shoes! The one that had the adhesive on it looks like a brand new shoe! The only con I have is that they are a tad bit slippery on tile/hardwood floors. Other than that, I am smittened with these things. I highly recommend them for protecting your shoes, especially for you ladies who have higher end shoes like Jimmy Choo, Fendi, Gucci, Prada, etc.
Here’s a picture of how a pair of pumps looked after 4 wears of being unprotected and protected:
