My Inspiration

As fashion/style bloggers, we all have to find inspiration somewhere right? Well, mine came from none other, than Mrs. Minnie herself! Isn’t she a cutie pie? And what girl doesn’t love polka dots???

I decided to down-play the youthfulness (or shall I say the Minnie Mouse feel) of this dress by pairing it with a tough faux-leather motorcycle jacket & black accessories. The black & white polka dot flower pin was a fun, added touch!

I picked this vintage dress up a while back while thrifting. It just makes me feel so ladylike (and yall know I don’t wear skirts/dresses often). It was a  nice change from the pants that I’m accustomed to wearing. And of course, I’m a sucka for any dress or skirt that has pockets. It just adds a lil something extra.
I love the length of this dress, but I’m still on the fence about giving it the “big chop”.  I kinda want it knee length, but then again I like the feel of this length. What do you guys think?

It looks SO good! This outfit is great! And you can't beat a dress with pockets πŸ™‚
I think you should make it knee-length. The last pic gives a feel of what it would look like.

I love that you were inspired by Minnie!! I think it would be great knee length, but I love the current length also.

P.S Dots is having a great clearance sale; buy 2 items and the 3rd is free. Yesterday I scored black harem pants for $9 & black skinny flares for $7, my free item was a chunky silver and black necklace. I'm wearing the harem pants and necklace and I've been getting compliments all day; gotta love Dots!!!!

    What a fun, twirl-y dress!
I was coming by to let you know that 2 of your picks are part of the vote for EBEW! Polka dots and pencil skirt. Looks like you have a great dress if polka dots wins!

Love this! So well styled and executed. I would keep it at the current length– you have the height and bod for it, plus midi lengths are still so fresh! You look adorable πŸ™‚
