Steve Madden Was Definitely In The Building

Today, Prissy and I met up at the St. John’s Town Center Dillard’s for our opportunity to meet the iconic Steve Madden… Let me just start by saying, I was tardy for the party, and Prissy was sitting in the parking lot waiting for me for almost a half an hour because I had an impromptu late night last night (more on that later) and was dragging and just ti-red! Anyhoo, we just had to be there today, so I was not gonna let a hang over and a fight with a palmetto bug stop no show. Much to my surprise, I had a blast, and met some really cool people, big shouts to the fourth grade teacher that was in front of us, didn’t catch her name, but her spirit made me glad that we were behind them in line… Another huge shout out to Jullisa Bermudez of Jersey Shore After Hours and formally of BET’s 106 and Park, whom did an excellent job of hosting the event! I was wondering why the fourth grade teacher asked us did we watch Jersey Shore??? Hmm, I had to google Jullissa to find out that she hosted some after hours Jersey Shore show!! Jullissa was a sweet heart and actually shouted Prissy and I out and told the crowd to check out the blog, gave the name of it and all, and said it twice… Aww (sigh)! Funny story… Prissy’s eyebrows were FIERCE and Jullissa asked her who did them, and Prissy proudly informed her, “I did them myself, and if you give me your number, I’ll do yours too”! Uhhh, yeah, then miss thang, was asked, “really, are you based here in Jacksonville?” OK, at this point Prissy is falling out laughing because she has Jullissa believing that she is some real make up artist… Shaking My Head….But, here’s a pic of Pris and Jullissa… check out Prissy’s brows…

As I mentioned earlier, I had been out partying like it was 1999 with my cousins Toya and Tressa and our friend Pam, and we went from Bonefish to Aroma’s Cigar Bar and had a blast. Mind you, this was supposed to be a quick happy hour and we were supposed to be home by 8, seeing as how we had all come straight from work. The events of last night made me vow to never leave home without a camera and a fully charged cell phone because I missed some really good moments… Ok, I digressed. Back to the Steve Madden event.

Here a a few more pictures of us as we met the man behind the brand….

That’s me, a nice distance away from that man…

Here’s Prissy sitting in the man’s lap…

Had to have em….

Back to last night…. We were involved in a very heated discussion regarding, what else, Men, and dating when the question was posed, can a person in an ideal, committed relationship give their objective opinion about dating?
Please let me know what you all think, can a person in an almost perfect relationship give advice on dating to the single ladies? Inquiring minds want to know….
Tootles!

You girls are both beautiful! Looking forward to seeing more of your outfit posts.

I would consider myself as being in an "Ideal, committed relationship" and admittedly, I think the advice I give to my single girl friends comes from quite a naive point of view as I've never really had my heart broken (knock on wood). So in my opinion, my words would be seen as optimistic but may not be an accurate gauge of the real world!
